Our optional spring excursion is to the very north of Sweden to experience the beautiful Swedish winter. Sweden is the land of the midnight sun in the summer, but winter in the Arctic is breathtaking. The landscape is strikingly beautiful, from its sparkling frozen lakes to the snowy mountains where reindeer are herded by the indigenous Sámi people. On clear, cloudless nights, you can also see the majestic Northern Lights streak across the sky.
This trip to explore northern Sweden is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We will stay in a beautiful ski resort above the Arctic Circle and take part in activities such as dog sledding, snowshoeing, a visit to a traditional Sámi village, and a tour of the world famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi. If we’re lucky, we’ll also have a chance see the beautiful Northern Lights!
The cost for this trip is $495 and includes transportation, accommodation, meals and activities. You will receive additional information on this trip upon Program registration. We hope you plan on joining us for this memorable trip to the Arctic!
