Libraries and Study Space #
Library Access #
We recommend making arrangements to access your home school’s digital library catalog from abroad.
Swedish Program students can visit the SSE Library but cannot borrow books due to legal restrictions.
Students are eligible to borrow books from Stockholms Stadsbibliotek (Stockholm Public Libraries). You can apply for a library card at any public library; please bring your passport as identification. Learn more on their website.
Study Space #
Aside from your apartment or host family home, you have many options for where to study.
On campus, students usually work in the SSE atrium (Floor 1), SSE library (Floor 5), Student Association premises (Floor 0), or the Swedish Program classroom (Floor 9) when it is not being used for a class or meeting.
Off-campus, we recommend Stockholm’s 80+ public libraries, including the stunning Stadsbiblioteket (Stockholm City Library) next door to SSE. Past students have also enjoyed the opportunity to explore Stockholm’s many cafés.
